WHERE CAN I STUDY WHEN THE LIBRARY IS CLOSED?
BSH, Room 106 may be used to study when the library is closed.
Students have access to wifi - 6 computers and a color copier/printer in BSH, Room 106
BHS 106 Hours of Operation:
9AM - 8PM Mon-Thurs
Friday CLOSED
Sat - Sun. 12PM -5PM
How do I renew a book or other item checked out from the library?
Library items may be renewed once.
- From the Library Home Page > Click Online Catalog
- Log into your account
- Click the Renew Items button. Your new due date will appear.
If you need help creating an account and logging in, speak to a librarian.
How do I access the journal databases from off-campus?
All databases can be accessed off-campus using:
- C00 - Number
- Password
If I am late with a library book, or other resource, how much will I be charged in fines?
It depends on the policy for the item:
- Books/AV material(s)
- You will receive 4 email messages
- 3 reminders that the item(s) are due
- and a final email indicatinig your Banner account will be charged the cost of the item(s) pluse a $10.00 processing fee
- You will receive 4 email messages
- Reserves are $1.00 per late hour
- Reference books are 50¢ per late hour.

Book Borrowing
- three week book loans
- maximum of 2 books may be borrowed concurrently
- audio visual materials cannot be borrowed
- reference books cannot be borrowed
- reserves books cannot be borrowed
- magazines cannot be borrowed
Library Borrowing Schedule
Circulation borrowing schedule for students
- Books: 3 weeks
- Reserve items: 2 hours or otherwise indicated
- Audio visual: 1 week
- Library items may be renewed once.
Late Fees
- Reserves are $1.00 per late hour
- Reference books are 50¢ per late hour.
- Regular books checked out will be declared lost after 14 days and then your Banner account will be charged the cost of the book and a non-refundable $10.00 fee.
Alumni Library Services
Alumni library privileges:
If Alumni are interested in utilizing library resources they need to complete the online form and then visit the library in person to set up their account and get their library card.
Alumni can only borrow print books (3 weeks) and audio visual materials (1 week). Reference books or library materials on Reserve cannot be checked out. In addition, off-campus access to the library’s databases and interlibrary loan service is prohibited.
If alumni need to use the library’s computers, they need to check in with the Reference Librarian on duty to access *GUEST* network credentials.
Visitor Policy
Under special circumstances, some visitors (non-affiliated individuals) may be granted access to the library between the hours of 11AM - 5 PM. Non-affiliated individuals may enter the library during these hours only after first visiting the Security Office and providing appropriate credentials such as one of the following pieces of photo identification:
- driver’s license, state ID card,
- passport or military ID.
Non-affiliated individuals that would like to visit the library for academic reasons are defined as:
- researchers who have made prior arrangements with a librarian
- visiting researchers with a letter of introduction from their home institution
- faculty with a valid ID from a college or university
CONCORDIA CARES COVENANT
- Wearing a face covering in public spaces
- Maintaining proper social distancing
- Washing my hands for at least 20 seconds and using hand sanitizer
- Following directional signage across campus
- Adhering to all New York State, CDC and Concordia guidelines as issued
- While on campus, maintain six (6) feet of social distancing whenever possible.
Additionally:
- In all cases, children 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
- Non-affiliated individuals will not be permitted access to the library during finals.
- The distribution of Visitor's ID sticker may be subject to on-campus parking availability.
- Visitor passes will expire at 5 PM.
