The George A. Yeager Collection

The George M. Yeager Collection of autographs of America's foremost businessmen, financiers, and wealth creators, on permanent exhibition at Concordia College, is one of the finest assemblages of its kind, and unquestionably the best on public display. It includes autographs and written material representing a broad spectrum of individuals identified with the entrepreneurial spirit of America from the early 18th century on. The Collection offers numerous items of great rarity and interest. It is believed to be the most comprehensive aggregation of autographs of the 100 wealthiest Americans born before World War I and of Fortune magazine's original National Business Hall of Fame laureates.

A microcosm of the development of the United States, the Collection represents hundreds of individuals who created the businesses and industries that have made America the world¹s leading economic power. Mr. Yeager¹s quest to build this notable autograph collection began in 1960, coinciding with the beginning of his long and successful career as an investment counselor in New York City. His interest in autograph material of wealth creators was a natural extension of his own professional focus on investing in great American enterprises. The core of the Collection was displayed in the Rockefeller Center offices of Yeager, Wood & Marshall for several decades.

The Collection is open to the public during Concordia's Library hours.
