Conversations at
CONCORDIA

Books & Coffee

Our longest-running enrichment program, Books & Coffee gives the community and our students exposure to great literary minds. In immersive, engaging evening programs, best-selling authors speak about their latest works, answer questions and greet attendees in an intimate setting.

Business Breakfast

Since 2007, this innovative program has brought to campus the best and brightest minds in business, government, media, science, and the arts to discuss policy, current trends, and topical issues in their area of expertise. See a complete list of speakers here.

Community Dinner

This annual event began in 1981 as part of the College’s centennial celebration to recognize the strong ties between the college and the local community.  In 1983, the President’s Award for Excellence in Service to the Community was initiated to honor local residents who make a difference in the lives of others.

Jacobson Global Lecture Series

In 1990 Dr. David Jacobson, former Provost and Professor of Philosophy, instituted a lecture series around timely global topics, and upon his death in 2004, the college renamed it in his honor. For three decades the series has brought to our campus distinguished speakers from diverse international fields, enlightening students, faculty and the community at large.

Sluberski Film Series

Launched in 2015, this culturally illuminating program offers the opportunity to experience cinema with the artists who create it – from Hollywood to Bollywood, independent films to blockbusters.
