Transfer Requirements

Each program at Concordia has specific requirements for transfer students. GPA, grades achieved in certain courses, proficiency tests, and other prerequisites must be met on a program-by-program basis. You'll also need the following:

Personal Statement

Tell us about yourself in your own words. What are your goals, experience, and interests? Help us get to know you.

Application

Transfer students can apply through the Common Application or Concordia's online application. We offer rolling admissions.

Official Transcripts

We need to see transcripts from all colleges and high schools attended (high school waived for applicants with an associate's degree), so we can apply the credits you've earned*.

Letter of Recommendation

Please submit a letter of recommendation from someone who knows you well, for instance a teacher, faith leader, or employer.

*You must earn a grade of “C” or better for credits to be transferable from an accredited institution (for most programs, see specific program details). At least one third of your program of study's required credits must be completd at Concordia. Transfer students with international academic credentials must have their documents translated and attested by their school or by an approved translation agency, such as WES, to be accepted by Concordia College. A flexible core curriculum allows us to accept 90 credits from a regionally accredited institution. However credits that do not satisfy programmatic requirements may not be accepted.

Special Addendum

For classes taken during the Spring term of 2020 (January-June) the college will accept a grade of “P” in transfer. A “P” grade will apply to the student’s program of study and satisfy minimum grade requirements in all disciplines. This is only applicable for courses taken during the stated time period. All transfer courses must align with an equivalent course description at Concordia and meet all other requirements stated in the standard transfer credit policy.
